Information Is Beautiful
Can’t describe how much I love the work of David McCandless. Elegant, fascinating and deeply revelatory, his visualisations never fail to help me see things from a different perspective. Big Data is meaningless unless we can harness it in powerful new ways, and McCandless is leading the charge. If you haven’t seen his recent TED talk, check it out; and visit his website regularly. I do.

Jemima and I are very lucky to be basking in the Cypriot sun and sharing a big moment in the lives of our friends, Julio and Alexia.
Despite best efforts, we came out of the respective Stag/ Hens celebrations in surprisingly good shape. Tomorrow we look forward to the stolisma, the ceremony, the cocktails… and to saying a huge “thank you” and “congratulations”.
Good company; good times. Now if only we could figure out how to turn down the temperature.

The second video I shot and edited on the iPhone while in Ascona to watch Mark Knopfler play Locarno’s Piazza Grande. Good concert, good company; great weekend.
