The second video I shot and edited on the iPhone while in Ascona to watch Mark Knopfler play Locarno’s Piazza Grande. Good concert, good company; great weekend.

Another day, another great ride. This time a beautiful 106km around the hills south of the Zürichsee, incorporating an epic 12.5km climb through the Sattelegg Pass in Vorderthal which kicked to 14% at times.
Even managed to catch some of the 2010 Ironman on the way back to a large plate of pasta.
The Skins are on and Eurosport is streaming, as Schleck and Contador battle it out on a very dour Tourmalet this afternoon. Once again, it takes The Big Picture to do it justice: inspiring and beautiful.

Donned the Rapha and hit the tarmac for the first time in a couple of months tonight. Few better places to do so than Switzerland.
Simon set a decent pace on his BMC, but I managed to suck his wheel most of 65kms. Got treated to an awesome sunset as we headed back up from Rapperswil.
Managed the round trip in a little over 2 hours, for an average of 32.3 kph. Full details on Garmin Connect.
Last weekend we went to Ascona in the Italian part of Switzerland. My new iPhone 4 was to hand, so I thought I’d shoot and cut together a couple of short videos.
The camera shake is annoying, but I’m otherwise quite pleased with how they turned out. Here’s the first:
